Survivor or Not: All done!!!

Today we finally finished Survivor or Not! We got all the footage we needed -- we just improvised when we got to the parts we hadn't written yet. Then we all edited together really quickly, burned a DVD of it, and - voila! - we're done!

It's about two hours long, and features an amazing score that my friend composed today while we were filming. It'll be available for sale at 12:01 tonight from our new web site, www.tucklyne.com. Check it out!

Spring Break

Spring Break has begun, which means more time to... well... do stuff. Some of that stuff will probably -- hopefully -- have to do with TLS. For example, I hope to finish the Starfighters of Aduman Super-Special Edition, and possibly decide the fate of the whole Survivor or Not project.

Survivor or Not Update

It's now been well over a year since filming began on Survivor or Not. We got nothing done over the winter, but who knows -- we might just do a bit of shooting during March Break, which is coming up pretty soon.

As for that other project I've been hinting at for some time now, the "Or Not" spin-off, March Break would be a good time to film that, too.

TLS production has certainly slowed since our creation, but, with luck, it hasn't completely stopped just yet.

Adobe Premiere Elements

For Christmas, I got a new video editing program: Adobe Premiere Elements. It's a ton better than Windows Movie Maker 2, which I've been using up until now. (In WMM's defense, it's easier to use than Premiere -- plus it's free!)

Among Premiere's improvements over WMM2 are blue screen support (or any color screen, for that matter), multiple video and audio tracks, far better customization for titles, and a ton more transitions and effects (including a cool Lightning one that can also be adapted to make lightsabers). In addition, Premiere includes DVD-making features. I previously reported that I had gained DVD-making capability, but that program is extremely limited. Premiere is going to turn out to be MUCH better. :-)

Starfighters of Adumar & Survivor or Not

Today and yesterday I've done a lot of work on a Special Edition of Starfighters of Adumar, a short movie I did as a book report for the book of the same name in 7th Grade. I'm going to finish it tomorrow.

Yesterday I also put together all the Survivor or Not footage I have. I'm not sure where that project is heading, but at least I have something done.

Screenwriting for Dummies

Recently I received a copy of Screenwriting for Dummies. Hopefully that'll help in the quest for a better script! :-)

Interestingly enough, though, the probable next "Or Not" project won't even need a script. Still, that untitled kung-fu movie currently in the conceptual phase (being made in conjunction with Belgrade Productions) is definitely in need of a good script, so I'm sure the guide will come in quite handy.

Oedipus Rex

We've started reading Oedipus Rex in English class, which has given me some interesting ideas for a new "Or Not" movie. It could be called "Killer or Not," or perhaps "Father or Not."
